PEO Sisterhood announces two local high school scholarship recipients

PEO, a philanthropic educational organization, has awarded $2,500 STAR scholarships to Animas High School graduates Wyllow Hildner and Hannah Shew.

Hildner was sponsored by Chapter BR and Shew was sponsored by Chapter CS.

PEO offers scholarships and grants to help women achieve their educational goals. The STAR Scholarship recognizes the accomplishments of graduating high school women planning to pursue a post-secondary education. Eligible women must be in their senior year, exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and show potential for future success.

Hildner will be attending Northern Arizona University Honors College in Flagstaff, Arizona, this fall, majoring in business. Shew will attend Colorado College in Colorado Springs, majoring in biochemistry, with a long-term goal of pursuing physical therapy.
