What is our country (we) moving into? What is the impetus behind the possibility of a man who is mean, power hungry, disrespectful, a bully and a clown becoming our president?
Eight years ago, we chose a president whose presence opened up our weeping wounds, exposing our past that we’ve carried, buried and denied since our beginning.
Issues that have arisen since President Barack Obama took office have revealed the issues of our country’s exploitation of human lives, our environment and our inability to work together as “one people.”
The axiom “divided we fall” is in full blossom. Change is inevitable. That America be great (again?) is an opportunity that has never, ever been so in-our-face, like Muhammad Ali’s knock-out punch forcing America’s door to open – now!
Whether it is President Donald Trump or President Hillary Clinton sitting in the position of power, it will be “we the people” who will fold or hold us.
Thomas Jefferson said, “When the people fear the government, that’s tyranny; when the government fears the people, that’s freedom.” The federal government is our servant, not our master!
The fear and uncertainty we hold as a country is now at the forefront of our collective unconscious. And when we are clinging to an outcome we “know” is the way to our freedom, we are afraid and uncertain, which gives us limited choices.
We then are left with the fight or flight reptilian response that is so prevalent now.
The upside or complimentary opposite of this is that we are in fact awakening to our consciousness by recognizing our unconsciousness as individuals, giving ourselves our birthright of the richness of nature’s gift, including safety, health, education, rewarding work, fresh air and water and beauty – being human.
