I couldn’t agree more with Tod Patterson (Herald. Mar. 15) or Robert Goodrich (Herald, April 8.) The Herald is in serious trouble.
We know your donations to Fort Lewis College have dramatically decreased from $200,000 to a measly $25,000 in just a few short years, and I am sure your donations to other local causes have declined recently also.
I am sure that the Herald’s refusal to publish a fair and balanced paper is not the only reason for the downward spiral, however, by not disenfranchising 40 percent of potential readers and advertisers you could definitely help shore up the bottom line.
Many conservatives I know will not buy, nor will they advertise in The Durango Herald because of the left wing view strictly adhered to by the editors and writers.
The “inclusion delusion” definitely does not include conservative thought when it comes to the Herald.
