Phone service has been restored to about 50 CenturyLink customers who lost service Jan. 1, when a cable went down.
“All services were restored on Jan. 4 at 12:30 p.m.,” a CenturyLink employee wrote in an email Monday. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers.”
The outage was brought to The Durango Herald’s attention Sunday by Durango resident Bonnie Boyle, who lives on County Road 202. She said at that time she knew of other customers on her street, as well as The Ranch subdivision, unable to receive or make phone calls.
A CenturyLink representative said a downed cable was the outage’s cause.
