Photo: After Clean Commute Week rolls out, smoke cancels events

Officer Ron Wysocki with the Durango Police Department escorts cyclists down Main Avenue on Monday during the Paul Wilbert Memorial Passeggiata as part of the city of Durango’s Clean Commute Week. The city has postponed two upcoming Clean Commute Week events because of the poor air quality created by the 416 Fire: Bike to Work Day, which was scheduled for Wednesday, and the “Love Your Commute” celebration, which was scheduled for Thursday. Free Transit Days scheduled for this week, through Friday, will still be held.
