Thursday the first day of autumn came in active with a few rain showers and sunshine on the Fort Lewis College campus. Also, most of Southwest Colorado, including Durango and Cortez, is in a high wind warning through early Friday. A frosting may grace the tops of the San Juan Mountains, as rain Thursday is likely to fall as snow above 9,000 feet.
