The Bureau of Land Management conducts a prescribed burn on Tuesday in the Grandview area northwest of Mercy Hospital. The BLM burned just under a 1,000 piles of slash that had been piled up after a fuels reduction treatment project on 148 acres. The BLM will come back in the spring and sped a mixture of native grasses and flowering plants seed and then monitor and treat non-native grasses and plants that might pop up.
