Baseball started in Durango in 1881, with the first game in Silverton; Durango won 11-7. That was a tradition this 1908 team was proud to continue. The manger, presumed to be the man in the middle in a business suit, is Buber Davis. Other players are identified as Grant Hughs, John Roberts and Milt Herrick.
