Free masks at the Durango Welcome Center have been popular items with visitors, including Jon and Kristi Bernstein of Dallas, who picked up extra masks Tuesday. The Welcome Center has given away about 800 masks since July 15, when it starting offering them to people who may not be aware of the city and state ordinances requiring face coverings in public areas.
