Hot air balloons light up Main Avenue on Friday evening for the first time as pilots participate in the Downtown Durango Balloon Glow. The rally continues Saturday with a mass ascension about 8:30 a.m. in the Animas Valley, near U.S. Highway 550 and Hermosa Meadows Road. A lift-off also is planned for 8 a.m. Sunday.
