All the April showers paid off with May flowers in the front yard of Karla and Tom Sluis on East Fourth Avenue. Some of those April showers could extend into the first weekend of May. The National Weather Service lists a 20 percent chance of rain in Durango on Saturday, and Silverton has a 30 percent chance of snow.
