A Durango Fire Protection District crew loads a pedestrian into an ambulance. The pedestrian was hit by a car Tuesday evening on Main Avenue. According to a witness, the pedestrian was crossing Main Avenue at Seventh Street in the crosswalk when someone in a northbound car struck him. No other details were immediately available.
