Lou Gaylord, a volunteer with the San Juan Mountains Association, trims the bottom of a Christmas tree Tuesday at the sales lot in the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge parking lot at Camino del Rio and College Drive. The tree sales continue noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to the association website. The holiday tree sale fundraiser provides an opportunity for service groups, social organizations and individuals to support their local public lands.
