Luca Adkins, 12, plays a game of pingpong Tuesday at the Durango Community Recreation Center. With Durango School District 9-R closed because of winter weather, Luca spent the day playing basketball and hanging out with friends at the rec center. Luca is the son of Maria and Jim Whatcott.
