Photo: Tourist bus breaks down on 12th Street

A bus carrying guests of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge railroad broke down about 10:30 a.m. Friday on 12th Street near Main Avenue, said Debbie Kielb, the driver of the bus. Mechanics were working on the bus trying to find the cause of the issue, she said. Shane Roukema, a city code enforcement officer with the city, blocked westbound traffic in the 100 block of 12th Street to prevent cars from using the road while mechanics worked on solving the issue.
