Andrew Fletcher, assistant athletic director-facilities at Fort Lewis College, vacuums water Tuesday off of Aspen Field, home to the women’s softball team. Last month, snowblowers and a small plow cleared most of the snow. After the infield dries, it will be covered by a newly purchased tarp. The Skyhawks’ first home games of the season are scheduled for March 7 and March 8. The team held its first outdoor practice of the year over the weekend at the artificial turf football field at Durango High School.
