Smoke fills the sky Friday across Southwest Colorado from fires burning in California, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado, including the Pine Gulch Fire, which was north of Grand Junction, according to the National Weather Service. San Juan Basin Public Health warned Durango-area residents that smoke can cause respiratory issues and worsen symptoms of COVID-19.
