Jasper gets plenty of love and attention Tuesday during “Kids Kamp” at the La Plata County Humane Society, as campers learn how to bathe a dog. This is the sixth summer for the one-week camp, which takes place in June, July and August. Children ages 11 to 15 participate in hands-on learning with a variety of pets and see firsthand the role the Humane Society plays in the community.
