Maggie Wrase, 14, who has only been snowboarding for four days, launches off a jump Friday at Chapman Ski Hill. “I like Chapman Hill better than Purgatory Resort,” Maggie said. “It’s not as crowded and you don’t have to wait in line.” The ski hill is holding Chapfest this weekend to celebrate the end of the season. From 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, the Ridiculous Relay will have teams of two go head-to-head in a relay with obstacles. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Boxzilla will be created, as boxes are aligned on the hill to create a single, massive structure. The area will be open normal hours for skiing and snowboarding for those not participating in Chapfest.
