Children at the Boys and Girls Club of La Plata County show off their wolf masks on Wednesday. About 40 kids made the masks and learned about wolf habitat and Earth Day. They will have an opportunity to form a pack and howl as they walk in the Kids Earth Day Parade and Peoples Climate March on April 22. The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. at the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad depot and end at Rotary Park, where Durango Nature Studies will hold its Earth Day Festival. The festival will feature a 5K and 1-mile family fun run, along with kayak races, music, food, prizes and arts and crafts until 1 p.m.
