Troy Neil, front, and Kenny Gallegos, both with the city of Durango, pick up discarded items Tuesday in the Skyridge subdivision, as the city begins its annual spring cleanup. Crews will pick up furniture, large appliances, scrap metal, drywall, fencing, carpeting, tiles and open, dried paint cans. The city will also collect branches less than 8 feet in length and less than 8 inches in diameter, bagged or boxed loose brush and leaves. Piles of yard waste and scrap metal should be separate.
