The business distributed 133 cans in the park replacing the standard type of trash cans. A total of 300 cans will be distributed in La Plata County, with 55 placed last year at Hermosa Mobile Home Village. The funding for the residential bear-resistant trash cans are part of the 2023 Colorado Parks and Wildlife Conflict Reduction Community Grant Program.
