Restoration of the Iglesias de San Antonia Catholic Church in Tiffany, an unincorporated community about 35 miles southeast of Durango, is underway. Margaret Munoz-Lucero is caretaker for the church, which received grants from the State Historical Fund and two other local organizations for the preservation of the building, which was constructed in 1928. During the first phase of preservation work, geo-technical engineers, an architect, an archaeologist and a structural engineer will assess the soil and the condition of the building. The church is one of Colorado’s Most Endangered Places.
