A prescribed burn of slash piles is planned to start as early as November and continue through April. The San Juan National Forest Columbine Ranger District will burn the piles from forest thinning in the First Notch, Ute Park and Rockwood areas near Bayfield.
The burn activities should not affect public access or use of the forest.
