Pine River Library is making changes in children’s programming for the new year.
Starting the week of Jan. 7, Groove and Groove, the library’s program for the youngest children that includes music, finger-plays, games and more, will run from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays and Fridays. Gamer Club will still run from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Mondays. Little Readers Storytime will still run from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays and will incorporate process art activities with storytime read-alouds. The Little Artists program and the After School Awesome program are being replaced by “Crazy 8s Math Club,” which will be held twice a week after school. Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m., the club will be focused on fun math activities for grades K-two, and on Thursdays, the activities will be geared toward grades three to five. Crazy 8s is nothing like your usual math club; it’s a recreational after-school math club that helps kids enjoy the math behind their favorite activities. With Crazy 8s, kids will build glow-in-the-dark structures, crack secret spy codes and play games like Toilet Paper Olympics. The program is sponsored by Bedtime Math Foundation.
Join the library for another year of fun, experiential and enriching children’s programs.
