Pine River Library is still providing services online. Community members who do not have a library card may get an electronic library card to get access to e-books, magazines, e-audio books, videos, language learning program and more online at
To get an e-card or for general reference questions, including device and tech troubleshooting, call 884-2222. If no one answers, leave a message and someone will return the call within 24 hours
The library also has a COVID-19 Resource Center. See the “COVID-19 Resources” drop down in the top menu for links to factual sources of information about the virus, resources for businesses trying to navigate assistance programs and a listing of current Bayfield business and restaurant services.
The resource center also connects those in need of help and those who want to offer help through the “Need A Hand/Lend a Hand” initiative, which includes the Facebook group “Pine River COVID-19: Need a Hand? Lend a Hand!” Updates on library services and lists of educational and entertaining free resources for all ages curated by our staff will also be posted in the group.
The Bookmarks Book Club usually meets every second Wednesday of the month from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the library, but will try a virtual Book Club. Digital Services Manager Liz will host a Zoom meeting and all patrons are invited to join via smartphone, computer or voice call.
The book will be “The Mountains Sing” by Nguyen Phan Que Mai, is available through Freading. Those interested in participating may email Liz at elizabeth@prlibrary.org. She will send details for checking out the book and log-in information for the meeting.
