Now that La Plata County has returned to Level Orange, Pine River Library will expand its curbside service program by adding 15-minute browsing appointments and expanding its hours, starting Monday.
The library will offer curbside service from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. In addition to half an hour desktop computer appointments, patrons may make appointments for 15-minute browsing sessions, one household at a time. Appointment are scheduled on the half hour. To make an appointment, call 884-2222, ext. 1, 24 hours in advance.
The library still offers curbside returns and checkouts, printing, faxing and copying and quick “in-and-out” use of the DMV Kiosk. Patrons may borrow laptops for use with the library Wi-Fi in the parking lot, and outside library hours. The Wi-Fi signal is available 24 hours a day with personal devices.
The library also has take-and-make activity kits for kids, teens and adults available for pickup. This month’s topics include coding activities for kids, journaling for teens and adults, and a DIY hot chocolate mix for all ages.
Library staff members can also make recommendations for books, audiobooks and movies based on patrons’ interests and tastes and staff members can also help with tech questions and problem-solving via phone or Zoom.
