Pine River Library offering summer reading program

It's Summer Reading time at Pine River Library!

The seven weeks of programs will focus on the nationwide theme of "Build a Better World." Kids' programs will run every weekday from 10 to 11 a.m., with programs for babies and toddlers Mondays and Wednesdays, storytime at the Forest Lakes Rec Center on Tuesdays and at the library on Thursdays, and special events like juggling, puppetry and magic on Fridays. Teen programs will run from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, with art projects, movies, gaming, 3-D printing, and more.

An all-ages Gamer Club (computer and table-top) will run every Monday from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The adult program features diverse events including a self-defense class, herbal first aid, a poetry workshop, canning basics, and a travelogue series about Spain and Portugal. Participants of all-ages can take a culinary and language-learning trip around the world during the "International Night at the Library" on Wednesday, July 12. Everything will wrap up with a carnival-like final party on Saturday, July 22 that will take over the library parking lot and celebrate all things S.T.E.A.M.-related.

Participants can sign up online through the events tab of the library website, at the front desk of the library, or at the Sign-Up Party on Monday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to noon.
