A workshop about how to write effective résumés and cover letters will be offered from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive.
Participants will learn how to write logical, useful résumés; words and phrases to avoid; the difference between résumés and cover letters; how to convey a concise message in a cover letter; planning techniques; and effective ways to email résumés and cover letters.
Janet Arrowood, author of Plain Language, Please: How to Write for Results, will lead the class.
The class is free and open to all.
