Pine River Library will host author, archaeologist and conservationist R.E. Burrillo for stories around the fire pit from 7 to 8 p.m. June 18 at the library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive in Bayfield.
Burrillo will read from and discuss his latest books “The Backwoods of Everywhere” and “Behind the Bears Ears” as he examines Indigenous and tourist cultures, the complexities of American archaeology and what it means to be a local.
