Wendy Rice of the La Plata County Extension Office will offer “Canning Basics for Safe Preserving,” a class about preserving food at home, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive.
The workshop is open to all, and will focus on current recommendations for high-altitude canning equipment, canning methods and successful canning.
