The Pine River Irrigation District flushed the river this week.
The process removes silt and debris from the river before irrigation season. Water rates increase from 100 cubic feet of water per second to 1,500 to 1,600 cfs for a limited period. Then rates are gradually decreased back down to 150 CFS.
The river flush is an annual process conducted by PRID. For more information, contact the district at at 884-2558.
