Pine River Shares is pleased to announce that a local supporter will match all financial contributions for its sixth annual Food, Friends and Funds drive.
All contributions since Nov. 1 and through Dec. 31 will be doubled, thanks to the local benefactor, who is asking to remain anonymous.
"While we face growing demands for help from community members, our programs are expanding to meet the needs," writes Pam Wilhoite, the director of the local non-profit group. "And we've added programs aimed at long-term solutions, such as the Field to Fork Project, working to create a healthy independent Pine River Valley food system; and mutual aid programs that provide short-term assistance to residents when times get hard."
