To recognize efforts to maintain safe workplaces, Pinnacol Assurance issued $50 million in general workers’ compensation dividends to policyholders, which includes more than 53,000 employers in Colorado.
In La Plata County, more than $600,000 will be awarded to employers this year.
Dividend checks are calculated based on the policyholder’s premium size and performance. The average 2017 dividend check will be $941.
Checks will be delivered to employers in March and April.
