In response to a letter writer’s recent attempts to slam the Herald in his letter to the editor (Herald, Feb. 24), alleging that “the majority of voters elected the president,” I will share the facts of the election results.
The reality is that 38.1% of Americans did not vote, 31% voted for Trump compared to 29.8% who voted for Harris. And a whopping 1.1% voted for a third party.
My fervent hope is that my fellow citizens are fact-checking, questioning and being vigilant as the oligarchy comes into irreversible power.
