Traveling and reading the newspapers in other towns and cities, I noticed the police blotters aren’t published. Why would we want the people visiting one of the most spectacular areas in our country, the place we live and love, to read our police reports? Why advertise the negatives?
Many years ago, the reports were sometimes a bit funny, but our world has changed. It’s disturbing to read about all the wasted people roaming our streets and parks, along with the crime in our city.
Please stop including the police blotters in The Durango Herald.
