Police looking for man suspected of breaking into Durango Outdoor Exchange

Suspect supposedly entered building, but was scared off by alarm
Law enforcement is trying to find a man suspected of breaking into Durango Outdoor Exchange.

The Durango Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who is suspected of trying to break into Durango Outdoor Exchange.

The man was caught on surveillance camera multiple times at night after the store was closed, looking into the business at 3677 Main Ave., according to a post on the police department’s Facebook page.

Law enforcement is trying to find a man suspected of breaking into Durango Outdoor Exchange.

“On one occasion he made entrance into the business before an alarm scared him off,” police wrote.

Cameras show the man was driving two different vehicles: a newer silver Dodge Durango and a newer white Chevrolet Traverse.

Cmdr. Ray Shupe said the attempted break-ins happened several times over the past two weeks. Police have monitored the area but have been unable as of yet to locate him.
