The U.S. post office in Durango, 222 W. Eighth St., will have customer windows open two hours longer the next two Saturdays to accommodate Christmas mailers.
Four – and perhaps five – customer windows will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Dec. 20, supervisor Otis Carmichael said.
Usually, Saturday customers find two to three windows open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The last day that first-class and priority mail can be deposited at the post office for delivery by Christmas is Dec. 20, Carmichael said.
The last day express mail can be left for delivery by Christmas is Dec. 23, he said.
