Powerhouse Science center will reopen with Camp Discovery beginning Monday.
Class will be held with smaller-sized camp groups engaged in STEM activities. Camps are for youths ages 5 to 18.
Powerhouse will promote a safer environment with new outdoor learning spaces, touch-free restrooms and hand-cleaning stations, and removal of difficult to disinfect exhibits and furnishings.
Modifications planned for camps include:
Reduce maximum enrollment to 10 to 16 students per class.Modify curriculum to support holding most activities outdoors. Require educators to wear masks and encourage campers to as well.The hands-on science gallery will remain closed during weekdays through at least July and only be open to members and visitors on weekends.
Reserve a camp spot by registering now. If registration needs to be canceled, fees will be 100% refundable five or more before days the start of each camp.
