Powerhouse Science Center, 1333 Camino del Rio, will host the Mobile Earth and Space Observatory from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The mobile observatory is a science center on wheels with interactive activities for all ages, including an infrared camera, solar and celestial telescopes, a science atrium, and a 3-D topographic map explaining the Durango watershed.
An assembly at 1 p.m. will focus on watershed health and water conservation. At dusk, the celestial telescopes will be available for public use.
The event is free and open to all ages and the Powerhouse Science Center will be free all day as well.
