The Powerhouse, in combination with the University of Colorado, will host a Community STEM Day Celebration in honor of the National Science Foundation’s 75th Anniversary and the unveiling of the newest traveling exhibit on display in the Powerhouse gallery, “We Are Water,” on May 10.
Museum admission will be free to the public, with water based hands-on-activities available for visitor participation from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Through partnership with Mountain Studies Institute, there will be a free educator workshop from 2 to 4 p.m., exploring water-related curriculum and activities for local educators.
“We Are Water” is a multilingual traveling exhibit that explores the complicated issues of water use and conservation in the Four Corners. Through four interactive elements, the exhibit aims at engaging visitors through personal stories and hands-on learning. The exhibit will be on display in The Powerhouse until mid September.
