The Durango High School volleyball team stayed unbeaten in 5A/4A Southwestern League play with its fifth victory via sweep on Saturday.
The Demons blanked Grand Junction Central (2-13, 1-5 SWL) 25-19, 25-20, 25-20 in Grand Junction to move to 10-3 overall and 4-0 in league play. The Demons have only dropped only one set in their four league matches this season.
The Demons recorded 11 aces in the win, with Taylor Wolf notching five of them.
Brett Rowland added to her kill total from the left side and finished the day with 11 kills to lead Durango. She also led the team with three blocks.
Sophomore libero Millie O’Ketter recorded 35 digs for the second match in a row. Seniors Ally Snow and Lana Razma also did their part on defense, coming up with 21 and 28 digs, respectively.
Durango will be off until Friday when the Demons hit the road for a massive matchup with Fruita Monument (13-1, 4-0 SWL), which is ranked eighth in the 5A CHSAA coaches poll and sixth in the MaxPreps rankings.
