President Trump is committing treason

The definition of treason is to consciously and purposely work to aid the enemies of one’s country. By this definition, President Trump is clearly committing ongoing acts of treason by denying that Russia meddled in the 2016 election and is continuing to try to undermine American democracy and relationships with American allies.

Even Trump-appointed national security officials (Director of CIA, Director of National Intelligence, Sec. of Defense, Sec. of State, etc.) agree that the Russians are trying to undermine U.S. security. Why would Trump deny this is happening, while cozying up to Putin and insulting our allies all around the world?

Because over the last decade or so, Russian oligarchs tied to Putin have funneled hundreds of millions of dollars to Trump businesses through loans, financing deals and purchases of real estate from Trump companies.

Then there’s the little matter of massive Russian cyber warfare efforts to help put Trump in power by influencing the 2016 election. Back in the day, Republican Presidents were staunchly patriotic and anti-communist. No longer. Eisenhower, Nixon and Reagan must be spinning in their graves as they watch Trump sell out his own country for personal financial gain.
