In light of the coronavirus pandemic, La Plata County Judge Dondi J. Osborne has decided to delay her previously announced retirement to January 2021.

The vacancy, announced in early March, would have occurred on July 6.

The Sixth Judicial District Nominating Commission had been scheduled to meet on May 13, in Durango, to interview and select nominees for appointment by the governor to the La Plata County Court. That meeting has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
