Metro State senior forward Karisa Price from Gilbert, Arizona, was voted the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Year on Tuesday, as voted on the league’s head coaches.
Outside of Price, the price was right for Colorado School of Mines.
The Orediggers had the RMAC Defensive Player of the Year, Nicho Cusack, a senior from Golden; the RMAC Freshman of the Year, Laya Rybicki from The Woodlands, Texas; the RMAC Goalkeeper of the Year, Jayln Yates, a junior from Highlands Ranch; and the RMAC Coach of the Year, Kevin Fickes.
Price led the RMAC with 22 points. She and Anyssa Dagnino of New Mexico Highlands, a first-team selection, tied atop the RMAC with 10 goals each. Price had two assists.
Abby Rolph of Metro State, a first-team selection, led the RMAC with eight assists.
Rybicki tied for fifth in the league with 13 points on five goals and three assists.
Yates led the RMAC with 1,688 minutes, 43 seconds, a .27 goals against average, a .915 save percentage and 13 shutouts.
Colorado Mines, ranked ninth in the nation, finished the regular season 14-1-3 overall and an RMAC-best 11-1-2 to earn the No. 1 seed and hosting duties for the RMAC Tournament.
Fort Lewis College was shut out of any First Team All-RMAC selections.
Jordan Hix and Courtney Riley, FLC sophomores from Albuquerque, both were named to the second team.
Hix is a two-time All-RMAC member.
Alicia Sanchez and Jessica Singleton, a pair of freshmen that led FLC with three goals apiece, both were named All-RMAC honorable mentions.
Singleton led FLC with seven points, three goals and one assist during the regular season. All three of her goals were game-winning goals.
Sanchez finished the regular season with three goals and six points and a team-high 13 shots on goal.
Riley had two goals, one assist and five points. Both of Riley’s goals were game-winning goals.
Hix was held scoreless despite a team-high 30 shots.
