Despite a November 2012 vote of majority approval for the legalization and regulation of recreational marijuana, not everyone is convinced the measure is such a good idea. One local resident, Byron Pickett, sees the proliferation of marijuana plantations as a direct threat to the area's already limited and overburdened groundwater supply.
