Three local entities pulled their resources to mount five murals depicting the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad Locomotive No. 315 at the Durango Public Library, said George Niederauer of the Durango Railroad Historical Society. Niederauer said library director Andy White had the idea of train murals in the children’s library, and the historical society selected images of Locomotive No. 315, which they restored themselves.
