Public art competition comes to an end; final winner announced

The Creative Economy Commission and

Winners were randomly selected from the entrants who correctly named the piece. The Creative Economy Commission awarded the winners two passes to the Durango Community Recreation Center or a pre-loaded parking card worth $20.

Last week’s clue was: With a little wind, this piece goes round and round. Situated with a great view of the river and the Animas River Trail, it was created by Gunner Anderson, and was added to Durango’s Public Art Collection in 2003. The correct answer was Celebrate!
