The community is invited to a ribbon-cutting and open house from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday for the Durango School District Administration Office at 281 Sawyer Drive, Suite 100. The event will include refreshments, self-guided tours through the maze of hallways and a scavenger hunt with a drawing for prizes.
The administrative staff moved out of the historic old high school at 201 E. 12th St. in mid-April, and the old building will officially be handed over to the city of Durango on June 1.
At the new location, the Durango School District Administration Office summer hours will be in effect June 3 to July 26. Regular business hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed to the public on Fridays during this time period.
