Public invited to share ideas for the MidTown Redevelopment Area

Durango Renewal Partnership will host an interactive virtual event, Making More of MidTown!, to explore ideas for the future of the MidTown Redevelopment Area at 5 p.m. Thursday at

The MidTown Area includes a mix of new developments, vacant parcels, publicly owned buildings and amenities, older residential homes, mixed-use buildings, historic properties and mid-century commercial buildings.

Durango Renewal Partnership is seeking community input about how to formulate a vision for this neighborhood, create more housing in close proximity to downtown, identify opportunities to guide the future of the Durango School District 9-R administrative building and Buckley Park, plan for improvements to the north Main/Camino del Rio intersection and support investment in locally owned businesses.

For more information about the virtual event and links to the walking tour and survey, visit www.DurangoGov.org/URA.
